Well I am Matthew. I enjoy listening to music and reading. I am a big fan of the Cure. My hobbies are diving, painting, archery and cycling. I am a husband and father and I have been a teacher and educator for 26 years.
My last post in the UK was as the Principal of a school on the edge of London for nearly nine years. A school that when I left in 2016 was a thriving happy place one which its whole community was immensely proud of!
Here in the Cayman Islands I am the Principal of Prospect Primary School a local Government school. Working at my school is an absolute privilege, serving the local community is a joy and a challenge.
I moved to the Cayman Islands five years ago with my wonderful wife Victoria, our son James and daughter Poppy and our cats Marcel and Lucky.

VictoriaI am Victoria. I have been a teacher for 24 years. All of this time at the same school in West London where I have held a range of roles including class teacher, SENCO, Science Coordinator and most recently a Specialist Reading Recovery Teacher.
I have just completed my Masters in the teaching of reading.
I was born in London but spent most of my childhood on the South Coast before returning to London for University and teacher training.
Shortly after graduating I met Matthew on the 281. The rest is history, we will have been married for 22 years in August.

We enjoy travel, comedy and movies. As a family we have travelled to France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Singapore and Australia. As a couple we try to get away together once a year for a break (without the kids) and together we have visited the Edinburgh Fringe a couple of times, the Isle of Wight, New York, Barcelona and Rome to name a few… but moving to the Cayman Islands is our biggest adventure yet. It is a leap into the unknown and I really don’t know what to expect. Yes, I will miss my friends and family, especially my nieces Alice and Daisy but what an opportunity!

JamesHi, I am James. I am studying for an associates Degree in Science at the University of the Cayman Islands and training to be a Dive Master. My hobbies are diving, archery and swimming. I love going to watch rugby with my dad, when the World Cup was in the UK we travelled to Cardiff to watch New Zealand play Georgia in the World Cup it was excellent. I support the Harlequins.
My friends think our adventure to the Cayman Islands is really exciting. Most of them were surprised and shocked when I told them where we were going and they really did not believe me.
I have kept guinea pigs since I was very little and up until just before we left I had three, Zap, Fuzzy and Tim, my cousins are looking after them while we are abroad.
Just for the record Marcel is my cat.
